In an effort to enhance the safety and quality control of key agricultural products, the Institute of Agricultural Product Quality Safety and Nutrition at the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences recently conducted a comprehensive evaluation of rapid screening tools for high-risk veterinary drug residues. This project aimed to identify reliable testing products for government regulators and industry stakeholders.
The validation focused exclusively on colloidal gold immunochromatographic assays (colloidal gold test strips), assessing products capable of detecting 25 critical drug residues, including:
Fipronil, metabolites of nitrofran antibiotics (AOZ, AMOZ, SEM, AHD), Pefloxacin, Norfloxacin, Lomefloxacin, Ofloxacin, Chloramphenicol, Malachite Green, Dimethazine, Florfenicol/Chloramphenicol amine, Enrofloxacin/Ciprofloxacin, Azithromycin, Metronidazole, Amantadine, Trimethoprim, Doxycycline, Betamethasone, Clenbuterol, Ractopamine, Salbutamol, sulfonamides, and Aflatoxin M1.
